The free plan needs no card and has no deadline; it is limited to one workspace, 3 boards, 3 billable people and 100 MB, and does not include guests from outside your workspace, published pages or private pages. The paid plan takes a card at checkout and your chosen billing rhythm begins straight away; cancel any time. Prices are in British pounds and include UK VAT at 20% — £2.49 per seat per month, or £19.99 per year, before it. Checkout works the tax out from your billing address, so a business entering a VAT number, or a customer outside the UK, may pay a different total. Storage is pooled across the workspace at 10 GB per billable seat; once the pool is full, new uploads are refused until you clear space or add a seat. Nothing is ever deleted. Early-bird rates apply to subscriptions started on or before 30 September 2026 and hold for as long as the subscription stays active.
BEFORE YOU ASK
The questions
that decide it.
The answers that are usually buried in a comparison table or a sales call.
What is early-bird pricing?
These are launch prices. Subscribe on or before 30 September 2026 and your workspace keeps this rate when the price goes up, for as long as the subscription stays active. Prices rise for workspaces that subscribe after that date.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. One workspace, up to 3 boards, 100 MB of storage, the wiki for your team to read and write, feedback forms, and 2 automation rules on each board. Guests from outside your workspace, publishing a page to the web, private pages, and publishing a board as a read-only roadmap are on the paid plan. The free plan has no deadline and needs no card — upgrade when you outgrow it, and not before.
What counts as a billable seat?
Active owners, admins, members, and editing guests. Viewers, commenters and read-only guests are free and unlimited, so the people who only need to read the board — or to say something about it — never appear on the invoice. Deactivating a member stops billing for that seat.
Why is annual a third cheaper?
£23.99 per seat per year works out at £2.00 per seat per month against £2.99 billed monthly, both including VAT. It is the same product either way — the discount is for paying up front, not for a bigger plan.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price on this site includes UK VAT at 20% — £2.99 incl. VAT per seat per month is £2.49 net + £0.50 VAT, and £23.99 incl. VAT per seat per year is £19.99 net + £4.00 VAT. Checkout collects your billing address and works the tax out from it, so a business entering a VAT number, or a customer outside the UK, may pay a different total. Your invoice shows the price and the tax as separate lines either way.
Can I add my VAT number?
Yes. Checkout has a field for it — "Add tax ID" on the payment page — and it can be added or changed later under Billing information in the billing portal, which you reach from Billing in the app. A UK business is charged UK VAT either way and reclaims it as input tax; a VAT-registered business elsewhere in the EU reverse-charges instead, so no VAT is added and the total is the net figure, £2.49 per seat per month or £19.99 per seat per year. Your VAT number and the reverse charge both appear on the invoice, which you download from the same portal.
Do you price in dollars or euros?
Prices are set and charged in British pounds, wherever you are. £2.99 is roughly $4 or €3.50 per seat per month, but your card issuer sets the rate on the day, so treat that as a guide rather than a quote.
What happens when I upgrade?
Your chosen billing rhythm begins straight away. You pick monthly or annual when you subscribe, and the seat count follows your membership list rather than a plan you have to resize.
Is there a mobile app?
No iOS or Android app. Laver is a responsive web app that works in a phone browser — the board swipes one column at a time, a long press moves a ticket, and tickets and the wiki open full-screen. Your browser can install it to a home screen or a desktop, which gives it an icon and its own window with no address bar; it is the same web app either way, not a separate download. Two boards side by side is the one thing that needs a wider screen.
Is there a limit on boards or storage?
Boards and seats are unlimited. Storage is a pool of 10 GB per billable seat across the whole workspace — five seats is 50 GB — which is years of screenshots and documents for a team, but it is a team workspace rather than a file host. We warn you at 80% and again when the pool is full, by email and in the app. Once it is full, new uploads are refused until you make room; nothing is ever deleted, and reading, editing, exporting and deleting all keep working. Clearing space or adding a seat lifts it immediately.
